EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Improving the educational attainment of young Roma children is critically important in breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
FFR runs a Kids Club Program for children ages 3-6 and an After School Program for students between 1st and 8th grade. Currently over 230 students are enrolled in FFR’s educational programs.
In Romania, 77% of young Roma are dropping out of school before completing upper secondary education (high school or vocational training).
How is FFR helping empower these children to succeed?
Education is key to a child’s future and a bridge to better employment opportunities.
FFR’s programs offer a safe and encouraging environment, where children receive help with their homework and develop basic skills like reading, writing and math. Our teachers eagerly support and encourage the kids to stay in school and continue their education through high school.
It’s not just doing homework. It’s about becoming healthy, well-rounded individuals.
At the Agape Center, the children learn life skills like hygiene and emotional awareness. An Occupational Therapist is on site to work with kids in need and dental teams visit to do preventative work on the kids. The students are also learning gardening, IT, and healthy nutrition.

The children in our educational programs learn about who God is and how much He loves them. Through songs and interactive Bible lessons, the children learn that God loves them abundantly, and that He has a plan for each of their lives. The hope and prayer is that each child will come to know Jesus personally.
